TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USAGE OF GARDENS BY THE BAY
Approval to use the Garden for an Organised Event is subject to the Operator’s acceptance of the terms and conditions, including Regulations for Operators, as outlined below.
1) Gardens by the Bay (GB) reserves the right to reject any application or revoke an approval if at any time it deems that the continuance of an event or the scheduled time is not in the interest of other garden users and/or the general public.
2) Operators who are found in breach of the operating regulations more than two times will be suspended from operating in GB.
3) Approval for venue usage in GB is given pursuant to Regulation 8 of the Parks and Trees Regulations 2005. The Parks and Trees Act 2005 and the Parks and Trees Regulations 2005 are to be observed at all times. Please refer to NParks’ website (http://www.nparks.gov.sg) for more information.
4) GB reserves the right to amend any operating terms and conditions. GB’s decision on policies and guidelines shall be final.
REGULATIONS FOR OPERATORS
1) Vehicle entry and usage into GB is prohibited.
2) Parking and usage of vehicles is allowed only in the public car park.
3) Only operators with a permit are allowed to use the drop-off point for loading/unloading. Only one vehicle is allowed per operator, for a maximum duration of 10 minutes. Parking is only allowed at Bay East Gardens car park. GB reserves the right to request any vehicles to be removed anytime, even if they are parked within the grace period. Vehicles violating the guidelines, or unauthorised vehicles may be wheel-clamped. An administrative fee of $150 will be imposed for the release of wheel clamp.
4) Please note that this permit does not entitle you to exclusive use of the event site or the garden.
5) Please note that events are allowed to be conducted in a 4-hour block between 9am and 11pm only. No overnight events are allowed.
6) Set-up of the event is permitted only one hour before the event. It is the responsibility of the Operator to ensure that the set-up is not left unattended until handover. GB reserves the right to remove unattended items for public safety. Any confiscated items may be retrieved from Security with a penalty fee of $50.
7) Camping tents and furniture are not allowed in GB.
8) Smoking, kite flying, camping, open fires, swimming, fishing and gambling are not allowed in GB at all times.
9) The sale and consumption of alcohol should cease by 10.30pm. Licensing is required for any sale of alcohol.
10) Please help to keep the site clean and tidy at all times. All refuse generated by you or your client must be cleared at your own cost.
11) Any damage to garden property, facilities, trees and shrubs would have to be reinstated at your own cost. GB’s decision on this matter shall be final.
12) All props and equipment are to be placed away from pathways, shelters and toilet blocks.
13) Activities relating to religion, politics and/or sensitive topics are strictly prohibited. GB’s decision on this matter shall be final.
14) Please do not tie any flags, posters, buntings, banners, tents etc. to trees, shrubs or garden facilities.
15) You must indemnify GB from and against any claims, losses and/or damage arising from or in connection with the event.
16) Please obtain the necessary permits, licenses or approvals from other relevant authorities including but not limited to the Public Entertainment Licensing Unit, Singapore Police Force, National Environment Agency, Building and Construction Authority, and the Land Transport Authority.
17) Please note that GB is not obliged to automatically approve a recurrent application. Each application shall be considered on a case-by-case basis.
